The Vultures Listening Experience took place at the United Center on February 8th 2024 at 10:00 PM. Doors opened at 7:30 PM, so Joey and I got there in early in hopes of getting some merchandise. We only waited about 15 minutes in line to purchase a black reflective Vultures logo on black t-shirt for $20. We were then finally able to go to our seats at 9:00 PM. Meanwhile when everyone waited, Chicago 92.3’s legendary DJ Pharris kept the crowd entertained by playing some classic Ye hits from his debut album The College Dropout which just turned 20 years old. Then Ye and Ty Dolla $ign finally took place to an elevated and quite foggy stage at the center of the United Center to a sold out crowd of 23,000. Ye and Ty spent most of the time dancing on stage while special guest collaborates such as North West and YG joined them on stage for their respective feature songs. It was a legendary night as the duo played numerous songs not heard to the public before such as “HOODRAT” and “KING” but also played some favorite songs that many of us heard back in December during the Miami Vultures Rave like “EVERYBODY”, “BACK TO ME”, “TALKING”, and more.

The night concluded at 11:14 PM due to the very strict curfew Chicago puts into place for their concerts. While the stream version of the show was cut short, the last song “KING” did in fact get played in its entirety for the in-person show. Overall, it was a legendary night for music in Chicago and we will probably see the majority of these songs make the cut for at least one of the three Vultures Volumes expected to be released in the following months. As of the morning of February 10th, 2024, Vultures Volume 1 has officially been released by the ¥$ duo.
