This year’s Christkindlemarket was just as good as any other year’s market. Even with rising prices, of course, it was still a magical Christmas experience for everyone involved. This year I tried the Raclette sandwich over at the Baked Cheese Haus stand. I paid $18 for the sandwich which I would say is a little overpriced but the melted cheese and its flavor alone might justify the price. In mine, I got sports peppers along with dry-cured ham. Along with this I also tried the German doughnut balls at the German Grill with Nutella on top. While very good and filling, I wish I would have split it with someone else as I thought it was simply too much. To end the night, we got hot chocolate at the Traditional German Food stand. It was standard-tasting hot chocolate and my friend Jeff even said his was water downed a bit. Christkindlemarket is all about the experience and this farmers market type of experience is unmatched anywhere else it is very well worth visiting the Daley Center’s version of Christkindlemarket
