Well you just got over recuperating from the Memorial Day Weekend, with firing up the BBQ and spending time with friends and family. The unofficial start of Summer is here, so what’s next?
This weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday go to the Windy City Hot Dog Fest in Chicago’s Six Corners / Portage Park neighborhood. The fest now in its 4th year is bigger than ever before, and located on Milwaukee Avenue @ Irving Park Road and Cicero Avenue (4000 N. Milwaukee Avenue).

Sunday, June 1 st , 2025 12pm -10pm
The fest has 2 stages with entertainment, with a community stage at one end and the Main stage at the opposite end. Looking over the talent, they really have something for everyone, from Hugo Elvis, an Elvis impersonator that goes on Friday @ 5 pm on the community stage, to one of my Chicago fest favorites Kashmir, a Led Zeppelin Tribute band that goes on Sunday @ 8pm on the Main Stage.

Alright, enough of the entertainment, let’s get to the meat of fest. Hot Dogs! With over 10 hot dog vendors, again there is something for everyone. Classic Chicago style dogs, veggie dogs, Coney Island style dogs, Bacon wrapped dogs, Chili Dogs, even smoked alligator.

On Saturday @3:00pm they are holding the hot dog eating contest at the Main stage. The winner who eats the most dogs in 5 minutes time gets a trophy and bragging rights.
Windy City Hot Dog Fest is put on by the Six Corners Chamber of Commerce. Entrance is free but a admission donation is requested. Donations benefit the Six Corners community district.
The weather is expected to be good, come out and join fellow Chicagoans and have a hot dog or two.
